Hadith
Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: Medina was consumed by fire, engulfing a household at night. When this was brought to the attention of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: “Fire is your enemy. Extinguish it when you go to sleep.”

What We Learn
- 1Taking precautions against disasters is the duty of a servant.
- 2Extinguishing the fire before sleeping is a practice in accordance with the Sunnah.
