Hadith
Fedâle İbni Ubeyd narrated: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, heard a man supplicating to Allah without beginning with praise [Hamd] and sending blessings upon the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. He said, “This man has hastened.” Then he called the man to himself and commanded him or another person: “When one of you makes supplication, let him begin with praise of Allah Almighty, then send blessings upon the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and then supplicate as he wishes.”

What We Learn
- 1We should try to perform supplication as taught by the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him.
- 2One should begin supplication with praise of Allah, then send blessings upon the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
- 3Then one should state what he requests from Allah Almighty, and finally end the supplication again with praise of Allah, for example, by saying “ameen wa’l-hamdu lillahi Rabbi’l-alameen.”
