Hadith
It is narrated from Amr ibn al-As, may Allah be pleased with him, that he said: “When you bury me, wait near my grave and slaughter a camel and distribute its meat so that I may have the opportunity to become accustomed to this new life and prepare the answers I will give to the messengers of my Lord.”

May Allah have mercy on him, Imam Shafi’i said, “It is recommended to recite verses from the Quran at the head of the grave. Reading the entire Quran (hatim) is even more beautiful.”
