It is narrated from Abdullah ibn Amr ibn As, may Allah be pleased with them both, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Returning from a campaign is like going to it in terms of reward.”

What We Learn
- 1Every moment of jihad has its own separate reward and virtue.
- 2Just as reward is earned while going to jihad, it is also earned when returning. Because both the going and the returning are done in the way of Allah.
- 3The reason for the return from jihad being rewarded is the joy a person feels from reuniting with his family environment, feeling his nafs (self) peaceful, and having the opportunity to prepare strength for going out in jihad again.
