
Hadith
It is narrated on the authority of Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-‘As, may Allah be pleased with them both, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Whoever is killed while defending his property is a martyr.”

What We Learn
- 1Defending and protecting property, life, religion, honor and reputation is among our most important duties.
- 2Whoever is killed while defending his property, life, religion and honor attains the rank of martyrdom in the sight of Allah.
- 3There is no diyya or qisas for the person who kills the aggressor while defending property, life, religion, honor and reputation.
- 4Providing security for the lives, properties, religions, honors and reputations of individuals is one of the most important duties of the Islamic state.
