“Know that the curse of Allah is upon the oppressors.” Hûd Surah (11), 18. 2. “And there came a caller from among them, ‘May the curse of Allah be upon the oppressors’.” A’raf Surah (7), 44. Both verses convey the same reality, stating definitively with a general expression without specifying individual persons that the curse of Allah is upon the oppressors. The following verse in both surahs carries the same expressions, providing some information about the collective characteristics of the oppressors. It is stated: “They are those who prevent [others] from the way of Allah and seek to distort it, and they are the deniers of the Hereafter” [A’raf Surah (7), 45; Hûd Surah (11), 19]. **Hadiths** According to what has been reliably transmitted to us, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “May Allah curse him who imitates or is imitated in imitating women’s hair (wigs) and attire” (see hadith numbers 1646, 1648). Again, the Prophet ﷺ said: “May Allah curse interest-takers.” (see hadith number 1619). Similarly, he cursed those who make living images (statues).
