Hadith
It is narrated from Ibn Mas’ud, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: “Whoever swears falsely to take a Muslim’s property unjustly, will appear before Allah in anger and accountable to Him.” Ibn Mas’ud said: Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, recited from the Book of the Almighty Allah the verse that confirms his words: “But those who exchange the covenant of Allah and their oaths for a small price, they will have no share in the Hereafter. And Allah will not speak to them or will He look at them or will He purify them [from sins]. But they will have a painful torment [for them]” [Surah Al-Imran (3), 77].
