What We Learn
- 1There are some actions unique to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, called “hasais.” These are not binding on the ummah; in fact, some of them are forbidden to them.
- 2Visal fasting is one such hasai of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and it is prohibited to the ummah.
- 3It is not permissible for a person to remain hungry and thirsty to the extent that it prevents him from performing worship with peace of mind.
- 4Allah Almighty feeds and gives drink to his prophet in a way we cannot know.
