Hadith
Sufyan Ibn Abdullah said: – O Messenger of Allah! Tell me something that I must definitely do. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: – ‘Say, My Lord is Allah, then be truthful!’ I said: – O Messenger of Allah! What are you most concerned about regarding me? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took hold of his blessed tongue and said: – ‘This is what I am most concerned about.’

What We Learn
- 1Saying “My Lord is Allah” and being truthful – that is, tawhid and uprightness – are two fundamental rules that every Muslim must firmly grasp and fulfill.
- 2Faith and uprightness mean happiness in this world and the hereafter.
- 3Lack of control over one’s tongue is the biggest source of concern for every Muslim.
- 4The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked questions to learn serious matters and strove as much as they could according to the answers they received.
