Knowing Thyself, Understanding the Universe

Knowledge Beyond Time
According to Mevlânâ, truth is not subject to time. God’s knowledge has always existed and will continue to exist; this knowledge was already present before the creation of the universe. This goes far beyond a reality that humanity can grasp with its limited concept of time. It points to the infinity of divine knowledge, which encompasses all knowledge at every moment, and indicates that the universe is in a continuous process of manifestation; this manifestation, although appearing in different forms, has the same essence and is constantly repeated. This understanding allows humans to transcend the limitations of time and grasp eternal truth.
