Fourth Article
It describes the form (shape) of the organs of the head and neck.
O dear one! It should be known that the philosophers have said:
1- Whoever is tall in stature
Is pure-hearted and beautiful
The tall person is pure-hearted and guileless.
2- Whoever is short in stature
Has much cunning.
The short person is full of tricks.
3- Whoever is of medium height
Is wise and good-natured
Those of medium height are both intelligent and of good character.
4- Whoever has stiff hair
Finds courage in his intellect
Those with stiff hair have great confidence in their intellect.
5- Whoever has soft hair
Is foolish and shameless
Those with soft hair are foolish and shameless.
6- Whoever has blond hair
Pride and anger are his business
Those with blond hair are characterized by pride and anger.
7- Whoever has black hair
Has patience, seek him out
Those with black hair are patient. Seek him out.
8- If the hair is auburn, it is beautiful
The owner is peerless
The one with auburn hair has beautiful hair and is himself unique.
9- The one with little hair is refined
He is insightful and elegant
The one with little hair is perceptive and courteous.
10- If a woman has much hair
Her understanding is little
A woman with much hair has little understanding.
11- If the head is small, the intellect is little
Do not confide your secrets to him
The one with a small head has little intellect. If you have a secret, do not tell him.
12- The one with a large head
Has much intellect
The one with a large head has much intellect.
13- If the top of the head is flat
The owner does not suffer sorrow
The one whose crown is flat does not suffer grief.
14- If the skin of the head is hard
He does good, does not do evil
The one with a hard head does good deeds, does not do evil.
15- Do not be close to the bald
He is ill-natured, beware greatly
The bald person is of bad character; do not be close to him, beware greatly.
16- If the forehead is narrow
His character is also narrow
The one with a narrow forehead also has a narrow character.
17- If the forehead is rounded
The owner is ugly and deceitful
The one with a rounded forehead is ugly and deceptive.
18- If the forehead is broad
His bad character is like a disease
The one with a broad forehead has bad character to the degree of illness.
19- If the forehead is moderate
Know the owner as trustworthy
Consider the person with a moderate forehead as trustworthy.
20- If the forehead is without wrinkles
He is certainly lazy
The one with a wrinkleless forehead is undoubtedly lazy.
21- If the forehead wrinkles are long, he is perceptive; if few, he is generous
If the forehead wrinkles are long, he is perceptive; if few, he is generous.
22- If there are wrinkles between the eyebrows
He always bears the burden of sorrow
The one with wrinkles between the eyebrows is always sorrowful.
23- If the ears are large and wide
He is ignorant and lazy
The one whose ears are large and wide is ignorant and lazy.
24- If the ear is small, he is a thief; if moderate, he is honest
The one with small ears is a thief, the one with moderate ears is honest.
25- If the tip of the eyebrow is thin
His business is always intrigue
The one with thin eyebrow tips is always engaged in intrigue.
26- If the eyebrow is very hairy
He is broken-hearted and sorrowful
The one with very hairy eyebrows is broken-hearted and sorrowful.
27- If the eyebrow is open, he is honest; if frowning, he is a thief
The one with open eyebrows is honest, if frowning, he is a thief.
28- Thin eyebrows are beautiful; long eyebrows are a sign of pride
Thin eyebrows are beautiful, long eyebrows indicate pride.
29- The one with arched eyebrows
Is always charming
The one with arched eyebrows is always beautiful and captivating.
30- If the eye is sunken and small
This is a sign of pride
Sunken and small eyes are a sign of pride.
31- The black-eyed is obedient; the red-eyed is brave
The black-eyed is obedient, the red-eyed is courageous.
32- Blue-eyed is intelligent; hazel-eyed is well-mannered
The blue-eyed is intelligent, the hazel-eyed is well-mannered.
33- The one with small eyes is light; the one with large eyes is refined
The one with small eyes is frivolous, the one with large eyes is refined.
34- The one with bulging eyes is envious; the one with moderate eyes is generous

If neither of these is your lot
Do not waste your time, seek solitude
In contemporary Turkish:
Strive hard to reach a perfect murshid (spiritual guide) or a beautiful one with a face shining like the moon. If neither of these is your lot, do not hesitate, immediately withdraw into seclusion.
