That the knowing of the heart's reality is a condition for the Path of Truth; how much virtue and perfection the human heart attains; that the heart is divided into seven stages (etvâr-ı seb’a); that when the heart becomes a knower (‘arif), it finds spiritual governance and disposition with striving and power; that when it becomes perfect, it is free from desire and striving, distant from disposition and power, filled with surrender and acceptance, and detached from all things; that the heart draws knowledge and benefits from its own realm through inspiration, sleep, and death; that the heart forgets its own realm and remembers God (tezekkür); that the path to its own realm is one of discipline and refinement (riyâzet); that the heart finds dignity and pleasure through the Divine’s knowledge and love; that its orientation towards its own realm (taveccüh) is more important and essential than anything else; how the human soul journeys and travels through numerous spiritual stations (menzil), finding imperfections and perfections in this world, ascending and descending through various ordered levels (terakki ve tenezzül)—he explains these with fourteen points.
