The Hadith Sharif (blessed sayings) inform us that the world is, by custom and honor, a land of trials and adversity, and simultaneously a place of superficiality, cruelty, disloyalty, and abhorrence; while the Hereafter is a realm of pleasure and bliss.

O esteemed one! It must be known that our most beloved Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) announced to his community the eternal nature of the Hereafter as an abiding abode (dār-ı qarār), and the world as harsh and cruel, due to his compassion and mercy for them. As he states in the Hadith Sharif: “O my community and companions! Whoever attains a beautiful life leaves that world behind before it leaves him.” And he says: "Let one consider himself either destitute or a traveler in this world, even unto death. Thus you may prepare provisions for the Hereafter." [142] He also states: "The love of the world and its desires is the root cause of all sins." [143] Furthermore, he declares: “Whenever a worldly possession is given to a believer, his degree with Allah diminishes; it does not remain as it was.” [144] And he says: “Whoever intends the Hereafter and strives towards it, Almighty God will grant abundance to his heart, arrange and ease all his affairs, and make the world serve him. Whoever intends the world, then Almighty God brings his poverty before his eyes; He scatters and complicates his affairs. That person remains in bewilderment, though little of the world is allotted to him by decree.” [145]

He also states: “Every day, a herald calls out three times, saying: ‘Abandon the world for those who are worthy of it, and proceed upon the path of the Hereafter.’” [146] And he says: "Whoever takes more than what is necessary from this world, unknowingly brings about his own destruction." [147] He also declares: “To abandon the world is ease for the heart and body.” [148] And he states: “The most ascetic among people is one who abandons the beauties of the world and comprehends the realm of the Hereafter, and who does not count tomorrow as part of his life span but considers himself among the dead and prepares for death." [149] He also says: "The world is a prison for the believer and a respite for the disbeliever.” [150] And he states: “The world (life) is an hour. It should be spent in obedience to Allah.” [151] And he declares: "The world is neither clear nor pure for a believer; a believer finds no comfort in it. How can it be clear and pure? It is the prison of the believer and the affliction upon his head." [152] He also states: “It is most astonishing that a believer who affirms the eternal abode of bliss and tranquility (Paradise) should incline towards this transient and deceptive world.” [153]

He also says: "Indeed, the world is a delicious vegetable and purslane. Almighty God has given it to you as a trial and examination. For when abundant worldly wealth was given to the Children of Israel, they inclined toward adornment, sought after delectable foods, and delighted in pleasant drinks. Eventually, they fell into various turmoil and destruction.” [154] And he states: “A believer should increase and prepare for his soul from his self, for the Hereafter from his world, for old age from his youth, and for death from his life. For the world has been created for you, and you have been created for the Hereafter." [185/a] After death, there is no place to go other than Paradise or Hell.

One day, Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) requested sherbet of honey. As he drank it, he began to weep intensely. When his weeping subsided, he was asked why he had wept, and he replied:

“I once saw the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) repelling something from himself as if driving it away, yet there was no one present with him. Another time I questioned him about this. I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah! You were repelling something from yourself, but I did not see anything.’ He replied: ‘That was the world, taking a form and coming to me. I rejected it and said to it, “Stay away from me!” As it departed, it turned back and said to me, "You have escaped from me, but no one after you will escape from me.”’ Therefore, I weep for that now."

One day, the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by with some of his companions when they came across a dead lamb. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned to his companions and said:

“Which one of you would buy this lamb for a dirham?”

They replied, “We would not buy it even if it were free.” Upon this, he said:

"By God! This world is more ugly and worthless in your eyes than that carcass." [156]

He also states: "Woe to those who serve gold and silver, and beautifully ornamented garments." [157] Meaning, he expresses regret for those who neglect matters pertaining to the Hereafter and delight in accumulating wealth and wearing beautiful clothes. And he says: “The surroundings of Hell are encompassed by desires of the self. The blessings of Paradise, however, are veiled with things that the soul dislikes.” [158] That is, one who yields to his worldly desires goes to the Fire of Hell, but does not see the Hellfire hidden behind those desires; he only sees what he craves. Whoever endures religious difficulties which are unpleasing to the soul will go to Paradise, though his soul does not see Paradise, but only the obstacles before him. And he says: “By God! I am not worried about your poverty, but my fear for you is that just as abundant wealth was given to those who came before you and they were destroyed because of it, so too will it destroy you.” [159]

That is, you become heedless and incline towards the world, handing over your reins entirely to it until your life is completed and your turning toward God and your acts of worship are deficient. Discord arises among you due to worldly possessions. And in his supplication, he says: “O Allah! Bestow sustenance upon the family of Muhammad…”

Habîb-i Ekrem (s.a.v.) bir gün bir hasır üzerine yatıp uyumuştu.

gerekmez.

büyüklüğündedir.

4-Ebedî olanı seven kimse, bu cihanın azâbına lâyık değildir.

5-Peygamberlerin hâtemi olan Muhammed (s.a.v.) dünyayı imar etmedi,
