261 – It is narrated from ʿĀʾisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: The Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me, “Hand me the prayer mat from the mosque.” I said, “I am menstruating.” The Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Your menstruation is not in your hand.” [205]

EXPLANATION

Humra: This refers to a prayer mat upon which prayer is performed. This noble hadith indicates that it is permissible for a menstruating woman to take something from the mosque with her hand without entering it herself.
