DÖRDÜNCÜ BÂB · İKİNCİ FASIL · On Yedinci Madde
Muhabbetin sırları her zaman kalpte açılır.
Muhabbet, Habib-i Ekrem (s.a.v)’in makamıdır. Hullet, Halilullah İbrahim (a.s) ın makamıdır. Meveddet, Davud (a.s) ın makamıdır. Velayetin meyvesi birlemek(tevhid)tir. Meveddetin meyvesi hilâfettir. Hulletin meyvesi marifettir. Ve muhabbetin meyvesi de vuslattır.
Muhabbet, vahdet âleminde ahfâdandır. Hullet görünmeyen âlemde (âlem-i amâ) hafîdendir. Meveddet, ilâhî âlemde (âlem-i lâhût) sırr-ı sırdandır. Velayet, ceberût âleminde sırdandır. Sadakat, ruhlar âlemindeki ruhtandır. İradet, berzah âleminde gönüldendir. Hevâ ise, şehâdet âleminde nefistendir.

You must be like Abraham, constantly shattering idols.
7. Let the sun and moon of gnosis shine within you. And say, even when declaring “I do not love those who rise and set,” that Divine Grace is with you.
8. In the land of tribulation and exile, free yourself from the burden of the body. Ascend to the expanse of the heart, find love; this is patriotism.
9. The entire populace of the world desires the sun of love in the heart. Those who do not know themselves believe that desiring the moon is the accomplishment.
10. He who dedicates his soul to love is resurrected; he finds eternal life, and he who gives everything for it suffers no loss, but receives its reward.
11. The face of the Beloved is radiant with love; the heart of one who experiences this is awake. Every word of his is accepted, like a pearl from the sea of Aden.
12. Pass beyond the ornamentation of forms and seek the meaning of love! Form is but a wave upon the ocean of love—this is the truth.
13. The All-Majestic God declares, “You will not attain to goodness unless you give out of what you cherish.” Exchange your soul’s beloved with love, annihilate yourself, but never utter "I."
14. It is impossible for the heart to behold the face of Love's bride; if the form of the carnal desire stands before it like an idol in one's lap.
15. If you break the enchantment of the dragon of lust, you will immediately find the treasure of love’s secret within your being.
16. Know dignity in poverty; find eternity in annihilation through poverty. Religion is hidden within disbelief, unity is realized in the union of male and female.
17. Seek colorlessness, be dyed with the wine of unity. If you are pledged to polytheism and complaint, be ashamed of yourself.
18. Discover the secret “Everything perishes,” shatter your ego, attain annihilation. Be delighted with eternity through love, do not be the father of sorrows.
19. Be vibrant like Khidr, through living in the ocean of love. How much longer will you remain imprisoned as a fetus within the body?
20. Abandon the four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, and ten. How beautiful—perhaps the most beautiful—it is if the ego becomes intelligent and desires love.
21. Seek love, read love, understand love, so that you may follow the path of love. Abandon prudence, intellect, trickery, traps, and even science.
22. If you have reached a level to comprehend the knowledge of the lover, you will become a treasury of secrets, learning the manifest and the hidden.
23. The benefit of experiential realization is far greater than that of intellectual or theoretical knowledge. For the secrets of hidden sciences are unveiled and known through experience.
24. If you have become a jurist, understand the secret of “They do not know.” And if you have become poor, you are the sultan of a world without obligation.
25. Learn the jurisprudence of poverty and the morphology of annihilation from the discourse of love. Become familiar with love; always speak of it without translation.
26. Love is what makes the distant near and the stranger familiar. Even if two people wear one garment, those unaware of love remain far apart.
27. Proximity and distance are spiritual matters—what need is there for form? Wa’il al-Karani found his friend in Mecca while being in Yemen.
28. Uwais became annihilated from himself and remained eternal with God. Uwais, he whose presence perceived the fragrance of God from Mecca.
29. The people of the East and West are present at the gathering of meaning. In outward appearance, the people of Yemen are separate from Mecca.
30. The heart’s cupbearer is always God's Poor [Faqirullah]! The garden of the soul is filled with rosebuds; ambergris is divine fragrance.
