THE PRAYER SECTION · 58 – JOINING ANOTHER CONGREGATION AFTER PRAYING IN A GROUP
Süleyman ibn Yesar, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated: I came to Ibn Umar at Bilaat. The people were performing the congregational prayer. I said to him, "You should pray with them." Ibn Umar replied, "I have already prayed. I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say, 'Do not perform a prayer twice in one day.'"
