Ukba ibn Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) say: “If someone leads [a congregation] in prayer, and he is correct regarding the time, then his reward is for himself and the congregation. But if something is missed from the time of the prayer, the sin is upon the imam, not the congregation.”
