SECTION ON PRAYER · 32 – The Obligation of the Caller to Prayer to Continue with Prayer Times
Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings upon him, said: “The Imam bears responsibility, and the Mu’adhdhin is trustworthy.” He then said: "O Allah, guide the Imams and forgive the Mu’adhdhins." [339]
COMMENTARY
Imams are those who bear the responsibility of the congregation. The Mu’adhdhins are those to whom trust is placed in announcing prayer times and declaring the time for breaking the fast.
Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings upon him, said: It was related in a narration similar to the preceding one.
