Meymuna (may Allah be pleased with her) relates that she said to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him), “O Messenger of Allah, give us a legal opinion regarding the Masjid al-Aqsa.”
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) replied, “Go and pray in it, for there was warfare in Bayt al-Maqdis.” The Prophet (peace and blessings upon him) continued, "If you cannot go and pray in it, send olive oil to be burned in its lamps."
