SECTION ON PRAYER · 40 – BEING A MU'ADHIN (CALLER TO PRAYER) FOR WAGE
Osman ibn Abi al-'As (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I said to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him), "O Messenger of Allah, appoint me as their leader over my relatives." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) said, “You are their leader; act according to the condition of their weakest members. And find a mu’adhdhin who is not paid for his adhan.”
