That love of Allah (muhabbatullāh) is the highest aim; that through passion (ʿishq), zeal (shawq), and ecstasy (wajd) it
reaches its ultimate point; the limits, reality, inner aspect,
nature, benefits, stations (maqāmāt), signs, and saintly wonders (karāmāt) of love for the Divine Master (mawlā); the description and divisions of the manifestations that arise in the heart,
His particular and essential names,
His attributes, the results of His acts and works, the formations required by these,
and the states of zeal and spiritual states (ḥāl) that are the results of these formations, the passion and its fervor, the ecstasy and its perfection, and the way to attain the ultimate result from all these—
all are set forth in twenty-four articles.
