The Section on Prayer · 21 – The Dislike of Making a Lost and Found Announcement in the Mosque
Abū Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated:
I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: “Whoever hears someone asking about a lost item in the mosque, let him say, ‘May Allah not return it to you.’ Indeed, mosques were not built for searching for lost items.”
