The Exalted Pîr (Gavs of the Highest Order), Poor-of-God, Shaykh Ismail Tillawi may his blessings be upon him – regarding his lineage, school of jurisprudence, spiritual way, language, manners, homeland, birth, customs and traditions, knowledge, worship, the well story, the clarity of his sainthood, his complete withdrawal into seclusion, his holy power, his elevated virtues, his characteristics, his daily devotions, his practices of friendship, his attire, that my father, Osman Effendi, demonstrated affection for him in his absence, and for those of Sıhranlı Mehmed Effendi; how my father, burdened by sorrow, sought him out and found him, and how he found remedy for every affliction remaining with that possessor of divine wisdom; how certain miracles of the Shaykh manifested; how his name, reputation, and station filled the world; and after the passing of my revered father, this Hakkı, an orphan, offered condolences with a single glance, and thereafter imparted many wise counsel, nurturing him with wisdom. Regarding how the time of Shaykh Ismail Tillawi was completed, and he surrendered his soul to God, attaining his desire, drinking the draught of annihilation and migrating to the Realm of Eternity, leaving behind countless blessings in this world by his beautiful name – these are declared in ten points.
