THE CHAPTER ON PURITY · 70 – THE RULING REGARDING TOUCHING ONE'S PRIVATE PARTS (MALES)
Abdullah ibn Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated:
I heard Urwa relating that he entered upon Mervan ibn Hakam and they discussed what invalidates ablution.
Mervan said: "Whoever touches his private parts, his ablution is invalidated."
Urwa said: “I do not know this.”
Mervan then said: "Busra bint Safran, may Allah be pleased with her, reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, 'Whoever touches his shoot [penis], let him perform ablution.'"
