Huzayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) relates: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) encountered Huzayfah and extended his hand for a handshake (musafaha). Huzayfah said, “I am in a state of ritual impurity (janabah).” The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) said, "A Muslim is not impure." [184]

Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, encountered me in the streets of Medina while I was in a state of ritual impurity (junub). I tried to avoid the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. Then I went and performed ablution (ghusl), and came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, asked: “Where were you?” I said: “I was in a state of ritual impurity, and I did not deem it appropriate to sit with you without performing ghusl.” The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Exalted is Allah! A Muslim does not become impure."

Bishr’s hadith: Humayd reported to us, and he reported to him from Bakr. [185]
