305 – From ʿIkrima (may Allah be pleased with him): Umm Ḥabība, the daughter of Jaḥsh (may Allah be pleased with her), experienced istiḥāḍa (non-menstrual bleeding). The Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded her to wait for the days of her menstruation, then to perform ghusl (ritual bath) and perform her prayer. If Umm Ḥabība saw blood, she would perform ablution and pray.
