THE CHAPTER OF PURITY · 116 – THOSE WHO SAY THEY BATHED BETWEEN DAYS
From Muhammad ibn Osman (may Allah be pleased with him):
He asked Kasim ibn Muhammad about the situation of a woman experiencing abnormal bleeding, and he said:
“She omits prayer during her menstrual days, then performs ablution and prays. Then she bathes [on the days she deems herself clean].”
*Explanation:*
This is a report narrated by Kasim ibn Muhammad.
According to this, the woman experiencing abnormal bleeding will bathe once when her menstruation ceases and once during her menstrual days. However, the preponderant view of the jurists is:
“The woman experiencing abnormal bleeding renews her ablution for every time of prayer.”
As for performing *ghusl* (full ritual bath) for every time of prayer: It has been said that this is done either because Ummu Habibah bint Jahsh did it, or she did it of her own accord.
