98 – Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) related: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) and I would bathe together from a vessel made of something resembling copper."
99 – The narration is the same as in the preceding hadith, reported by Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her).
100 – Abdullah ibn Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) related: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) came to us. We prepared water in a vessel made of copper and he performed ablution." [104]
COMMENTARY
The word “*tawr*” mentioned in the honorable hadith refers to a vessel made of copper or stone. It is also described as a type of copper or simply "copper."
This honorable hadith serves as evidence that performing ablution from copper, brass, tin, and aluminum vessels is permissible. The fact that copper is yellow like gold does not preclude permissibility in performing ablution from a copper vessel. Red dye resembles blood, but it is not blood.
