PRAYER SECTION · 81 – PRAYING IN A SINGLE SHIRT
Seleme bin al-Akwa' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated:
I said to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, “O Messenger of Allah, I am a hunter; can I pray in one garment?” The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Yes (you may), but button it up, even if with a thorn.”
From Muhammad, may Allah be pleased with him, from his father Abdurrahman, from Jabir ibn Abdullah: He led the prayer in a shirt, and he had no cloak upon it. He said: I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, leading them in prayer in a shirt.
