From Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, drank milk, then requested water (and it was brought). He rinsed his mouth and said, “For milk has oil.” [158]

EXPLANATION

The term "wudu'" mentioned in this chapter refers to rinsing the hands and mouth, not ablution for prayer. This honorable hadith indicates that it is desirable to rinse one’s mouth after drinking milk, because milk contains fat, and fatty substances are considered to cause impurity necessitating rinsing.
