PURIFICATION SECTION · 101 – WASHING THE HEAD WITH WATER MIXED WITH KHITM HERB
256 – From ʿĀʾisha (may Allah be pleased with her): The Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him), when in a state of major ritual impurity (janāba), would wash his head with water mixed with khitm (a fibrous, fragrant herb that lathers well), suffice with that, and would not pour water over it again.
EXPLANATION
Khitm: A fibrous, fragrant herb that produces a good lather, and is also used for washing the deceased.
