ABLUTION SECTION · 45 – WASTEFULNESS IN ABLUTION WATER
It is narrated from Abu Na'am, may Allah be pleased with him. Abdullah bin Mughaffal’s son said: “I heard him say, ‘O Allah, I desire the white pavilion on the right side of Paradise when I enter,’ and he said to him, ‘O my son, ask Allah for Paradise. Seek refuge from Hellfire in that. I have heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say, “A people will come soon who will exceed the bounds in purity and supplication.”’ [102]
EXPLANATION
The essence of supplication is brevity. Its explanation will follow in the Book of Supplications.
Just as it is not desirable to use very little water in ablution, wasting it is also incorrect. Even if one performs ablution by a river, one should be cautious against extravagance.
