SECTION ON ZAKAT · 30 – GIVING A GIFT FROM THE POOR PERSON'S ZAKAT FUNDS TO THE RICH
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: Some meat was presented to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, “What is this?” They said, "It has been given as zakah from Berirah." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “This meat is sadaqah from Berirah, and a gift to us from Berirah.” [493]
