From Amr bin Shu’ayb, from his father, from his grandfather, who related:

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “A solitary rider is a Shaytan (devil). Two riders are two Shaytans. But three [traveling together] constitute a group and companions.”

EXPLANATION:

The departure of one person is an affair of Shaytan. If he dies, no one will know; if he remains, he does not escape the harm. Even if there are two people, they do not escape this detriment. But if there are three, then this danger is largely averted.
