JIHAD SECTION · 80 – PRAYER TO RECITE WHEN SAYING GOODBYE
‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, related that he said to me: “Come, let me bid you farewell as the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, bade me farewell.” I entrust to Allah my religion, my trust (my family and property), and the results of my deeds.
Abdullah ibn Hatim -may Allah be pleased with him- related that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would say when bidding farewell to an army: “I entrust my religion, my trust (my family and property), and the consequences of my deeds to Allah.”
