JIHAD SECTION · 167 – A WOMAN'S TRUST
It is narrated from Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, that:
Ümmü Hânî, the daughter of Abū Tālib, informed me. She had granted sanctuary to a polytheist on the day of the conquest of Mecca. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, came to her and she related this to him. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “We grant sanctuary to whoever you have granted sanctuary, and we give safe conduct to whoever you have given safe conduct.” [509]
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) related that:
If a believing woman is granted sanctuary (aman), then it is valid.
