SECTION 33 OF THE BOOK ON ABROGATION – A PERSON IN IHRĀM CARRYING WEAPONS
Berā b. Āzib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) made an agreement with the people of Mecca at al-Hudaybiyyah (stipulating that he would enter Mecca the following year only with scabbards).
(Shu’bah said, “I asked Abu Ishaq,”) "What is a scabbard?" (Abu Ishaq replied,) "It is the sheath and the sword within it." [580]
**Note:** *Jülabban* means the sheath of a sword, and *kirāb* has the same meaning. In the text, *jülabban* is explained as *kirāb*. This honorable hadith indicates that a pilgrim in ihram may carry weapons on his back.
