JIHAD SECTION · 94 – The Evidence of Those Who Say a Person Can Eat Fruits Fallen from Another's Tree
It is narrated from the uncle of Abu Rafi bin Amr al-Gifari, may Allah be pleased with him, that he said:
I was a boy carrying dates for the Ansar. I was brought to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, asked, “O boy, why are you throwing the date?” I said, "I am eating those that fall."
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Do not throw the dates; eat those which have fallen.” Then he smoothed my head and prayed, “O Allah, fill his belly.”
