Section 16 of Book V – At what age is a person entitled to a share of spoils of war?
It is narrated from Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him:
The Prophet ﷺ was presented to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, during the battle of Uhud when he was fourteen years old. He did not permit him. During the battle of the Trench, he was presented when he was fifteen years old. He permitted (his inclusion) among the fighters.
