Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated:

Eflah ibn Abi’l-Kuwayt (may Allah be pleased with him) came to me. I turned away from him and concealed myself.

Eflah said, “I am your maternal uncle, are you hiding from me?” I replied, “How do you become my uncle?” He said, "The woman who nursed my younger brother nursed you." I said, "Indeed, a woman nursed me; a man did not nurse me.” At that time, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) entered. I informed him about what Eflah had spoken. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “He is your uncle; let him enter.”

**EXPLANATION:**

If milk comes to a woman, it has come through her husband. There is no milk in an unmarried woman; if there is, it is false milk. The husband of the nursing woman becomes the foster-father of the child she nurses. And the foster-brother of the foster-father is the foster-uncle.
