The Ability of a Woman Experiencing Excusable Bleeding to Perform Iʿtikāf
It is narrated that one of the wives of the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) performed iʿtikāf (spiritual retreat) with him. This woman, because she experienced excusable bleeding (non-menstrual vaginal bleeding), used a basin underneath her. In this situation, it is said that she performed prayer while being affected by this blood.
