JIHAD SECTION · 63 – Rapid Journey

Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated:
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Whenever you travel on a road where there is fodder, let the camel graze its fill. Whenever you travel on a road where there is no fodder, proceed swiftly. And whenever you wish to dismount at night’s end (before dawn), pull off to the side of the road.”

Jabir (radiyallahu anhu) narrated: It was related to me in a similar manner. After the sentence, "Give the camel its due," he said, “Do not exceed the distances of customary travel.”
