WILLS SECTION · 1 – MANDATORY WILLS



According to the narration of Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him):
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) said: “A Muslim who has something to bequeath and two nights pass over him, his right is only that the will be written and kept with him.” [573]


Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) related:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) left behind no gold, silver, camels, or sheep as inheritance, nor did he make any will.
COMMENTARY
When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) passed away, he left behind a she-mule named Bayza’, weapons, and the Fedek lands which he had designated for charity.
