JIHAD SECTION · 175 – Entering a person's home at night after returning from travel

Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) disliked a man returning home at night.

Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: The best time for a man to return to his family is the beginning of the night.

Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated:
During a journey, we were in the company of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him). When it was time to enter our dwellings, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) said: “Wait until nightfall so that those whose hair is disheveled may comb it, and women who are not with their husbands may purify their skirts.”
Abu Dawud said: Zuhri said, "By 'entering at night' he means after the Isha prayer. There is no objection to entering in the evening."
