Volume 3 – Only Things Permissible in Mecca

From Kesir bin Muttalib bin Abu Wada, from a member of his family, who narrated it from him, and he narrated it from his grandfather:
Abu Wada saw the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, praying at the gate of Sahm. People were passing in front of him, and there was no screen between him and them. Sufyan bin Uyayna, of the narrators, said: “There was no screen between the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, and the Ka’bah.”
Sufyan said: "Ibrahim ibn 'Uyayj narrated to me this hadith from Kesir. Kesir related to us on the authority of his father. I asked Kesir, ‘Did you hear it from your father?’ He said, ‘I did not hear it from my father, but I heard it from a member of my family, transmitted from my grandfather.’”
