Asim ibn Lakid, may Allah be pleased with him, related:

It is reported that Lakit ibn Amir came to the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ, with a delegation.

Lakit said: We came to the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ. (The narrator says) Lakit recounted a hadith wherein the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ, swore by the lifespan (security/preservation) of his God, “I swear by the lifespan of my God.”

EXPLANATION

This honorable hadith indicates that swearing by Allah’s preservation is permissible.
