THE CHAPTER OF THE NAZIRITES · 22 – A NAZIRITE VOW
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) said: “Let one who makes a vow to obey Allah, obey Him; and let one who makes a vow to disobey Allah, not disobey Him.” [155]
EXPLANATION:
Whoever vows, "If I do such-and-such, I will fast so many days or give so much in charity," should fulfill his vow. But whoever vows, “If I have the opportunity, I will give so many bottles of wine to young men,” and makes a vow to disobey Allah, he should not fulfill it and should not administer the wine.
