JIHAD SECTION · 36 – A PERSON PARTICIPATING IN WAR WHILE RIDING ANOTHER'S BEAST OF BURDEN

Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him) intended to wage war. He said: “O Muhajirun and Ansar, there are people among you who have neither wealth nor relatives; let each of you take two or three of them along.” One of us might not possess a mount for himself, but he may have a mount which they can share by turns. Jabir said: "I took two or three of them with me, and I had the right to ride my camel in turn like them."
COMMENTARY
