Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: The hilt of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)’s sword was silvered.

Tirmidhi said this hadith is Hasan. Nasa’i also transmitted it. It is evidence that a sword can be adorned with silver.
Said ibn Abu al-Hasan, may Allah be pleased with him, related that the hilt of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was silver.
Katada said: I have not seen anyone follow the chain of narration (musnad) in Anas’s transmission.
It is related, similar to the preceding hadith, from Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him).
