MARRIAGE SECTION · 48 – THE EXPIATION FOR INTERCOURSE WITH A MENSTRUATING WIFE
2168 – It is narrated from Ibn ʿAbbās (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding a person who approaches his wife while she is menstruating: “He should give in charity a dīnār (gold coin) or half a dīnār.” [161]
2169 – It is narrated from Ibn ʿAbbās (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: “If a man approaches his wife while her bleeding continues, he should give a dīnār; if he touches her after the bleeding has stopped but before she has bathed, he should give half a dīnār in charity.”
